NCSDO

Dream Jobs

For outstanding creative people, NCSDO offers opportunities to:

  • Do highly visible work on the national stage, developing programs for the world’s best and most interesting colleges and universities.

  • Be part of a consulting organization that places creative thinking, design, and writing at the center of strategic marketing efforts.

Environment

The human environment is informal and collegial, with an essentially flat
management hierarchy and no barriers to communication.

The tone of the office is light and often humorous, but serious when it
comes to our professional commitments to clients.

The culture is one of continual improvement, where everyone’s ideas are
valued.

The physical environment is attractive and comfortable, with offices in a
beaux arts style firehouse converted for our use in 1980 and renovated in
2007.

Our neighborhood is the culturally rich, diverse, and energetic West Side of
Baltimore’s central district, near the University of Maryland professional
schools, the Enoch Pratt main library, the Walters Art Museum, the Peabody
Conservatory of Music, the “World Famous” Lexington Market, and public
transportation hubs.

Support

Our creative staff members have the benefit of generous mentorship from
award-winning professionals and leaders in higher education marketing.

Everyone’s efficiency is enhanced by expert, on-staff technical, production,
and print-buying resources. We use advanced systems to simplify handling of
virtually all routine management tasks.

We support a wide range of professional development opportunities, and
encourage staff members to take advantage of them.

Compensation

Our compensation packages are competitive and include model 401K and pension
programs along with generous vacations and holidays.

Hot coffee and cold soft drinks are always free.

(If you consider being treated as a responsible adult compensatory, include
it here.)

What we want

We want very smart people with a strong interest in higher education
advancement, and a desire to apply their energy and creativity to it.

We want people who play well with others—who enjoy ideas and the fun of
generating, trading, arguing, and testing them.

(A peerless work ethic goes without saying.)
